International House of Pancakes (IHOP) wants to open 10 restaurants in Costa Rica
The US company DineEquity announced that it plans to open at least 10 restaurants of the IHOP brand in Costa Rica as part of its growth plan in Latin America.
International House of Pancakes (IHOP) is renowned for offering 65 breakfast options at any time of the day, as well as lunch and dinner alternatives.
Currently, there are more than 1,700 locations in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Guatemala, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, the Philippines, and Panama.
DineEquity Vice President of International Development Dan Lecocq will be visiting Costa Rica to meet with potential partners for the brand this week.
According to a press release, IHOP focuses on growth in Costa Rica for a number of reasons:
– a growing economy and stability is encouraging entrepreneurs to look for new opportunities and consumers to enjoy more meals away from home
– a favorable response of Costa Rican people to US casual food brands
– an increase in the development of shopping centers and the abundance of qualified franchise operators, as well as the recent entry of the brand into the Panamanian market
