Situation:
The house is located 1,3 km from the center of Santa Teresa and about 900 m from the white sandy beach of Playa del Carmen. It is only a 5 minute drive to the beach and there are excellent restaurants nearby, such as Koji's, Katana or el Corazón. Despite the proximity to the center, you are far away from the constant bustle of the main street. The house is surrounded by a quiet forest full of wild life (howler monkeys, white-faced monkeys, iguanas, squirrels, agutis, rakuns and many more birds and butterflies...).
Access is currently only possible with a four-wheel drive vehicle, but access is constantly being improved as the area becomes more and more developed.
Santa Teresa is known for its laid-back surfers, beautiful beaches and sunsets, and world-class restaurants. The coastal town offers everything you need: Supermarkets, restaurants, bars, pharmacies/doctors, small fashion boutiques, wellness center as well as an international school.
Distance:
Santa Teresa is located in the south of the Nicoya Peninsula. In the nearby town of Tambor (30 min drive) there is an airport from where you can fly to San José within 30 minutes. By car it is about 5 hours drive to the international airport in San José and 4 hours to the international airport in Liberia.
Nearby destinations are the waterfalls in Montezuma (30 min drive), Cabuya (25 min) or Playa Hermoso (15 min) for surfing.
