Playa Cacau, Golfito, Province Puntarenas

Area: 79.1 acres with rainforest (sloping up terrain) with a 12.4 acre maritime zone (flat land) situated in the nature reserve “Refugio da Vida Silvestre Golfito”.

The farm is located directly at the Golfito Bay at the end of the Playa Cacao settlement. The unpaved main road towards Golfito is a 1,640 ft walk away along the sea front. A direct access by car does not exist, the only direct access is by boat.

Playa Cacao is a small settlement with a school, restaurant, bar, and a tiny holiday complex for nature tourism.

All other facilities (banks, post office, hospital, pharmacies, supermarkets, shops, airport) are located in the city of Golfito, which can be reached by boat / water-taxi in approx. 10 min.

The 79.1 plot is untouched rainforest with the original fauna and flora. On the 12.4 acre flat maritime zone – with beach access – are many tropical fruit trees (banana plants, cacao trees etc.). There is also an old, unapproved house, approx. 164 ft away from the beach.

Water supply is guaranteed from an own spring on the rainforest plot. The old house is connected to electricity supplied by the municipality of Golfito.

The existing old house has been built in 1992 (concrete/wood construction) with a building area of 861 ft2 at the ground floor and a 431 ft2 attic apartment.

The ground floor itself is a large unit with kitchen / dining and living area (approx. 656 ft2) and 8 small separated rooms (toilet, shower, room for a washing machine, storage rooms – each room approx. 27 ft2).

A wooden stairway inside the house is leading to the attic level which is one big sleeping room. The house needs repair work.
